In short
- Fear about the future is the mind rehearsing a scene that may never happen.
- He does not promise that things will go well.
- His answer is that you are not the one carrying the load.
- The practice: do today's work properly and leave tomorrow where it is.
A rehearsal, not an event
He describes fear of the future as the mind rehearsing a scene that has not happened and may never happen. The fear is real; the event is not, yet.
No false comfort
What makes his answer trustworthy is what it leaves out. He does not reassure anxious people that everything will turn out fine, because he does not promise that. His answer is different: you are not the one carrying the whole load.
Do the work fully, then hand the result over.
What surrender actually means
Surrender is often misread as doing less. In his teaching it means finishing the work properly and then releasing your claim on how it turns out. Anxiety mostly lives in that second part: the demand that the result be guaranteed.
He puts it as a diagnosis: suffering is the distance between what happened and what you demanded. Close that distance and the same events land differently.
For today
- Do the next piece of work fully, without rehearsing the outcome
- When the rehearsal starts, give the mind the name instead
- Leave tomorrow where it is until it arrives
If anxiety is affecting your health, see a doctor; he has never told anyone faith replaces treatment.
Where this comes from
Everything on this page is drawn from what this site records of his public satsang on the questions page and the teachings page. It summarises his position; it does not quote him word for word.
This is a fan website, not the official site of Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj. The article summarises what he teaches in public satsang; it does not quote him. If something here is wrong, tell us and it is corrected the same week.
